Selected Works — Fine Art Digital Photography

A curated selection of works from The Pixel Cake studio — bringing together the Music Icon Art Series and the Atmospheric Photography collection. All works are available as limited-edition fine art prints.

Music Icon Art Series

Original digital artworks honoring legendary musicians as cultural mythologies. These are original artistic creations — not photographs of individuals, but artworks inspired by the iconography of musicians who became larger-than-life figures in culture.

Atmospheric Photography

Landscapes, figures, and architectural subjects at the boundary between the real and the dreamlike. Each work undergoes extensive post-production to develop the emotional language of the original photograph.

Portrait and Figure Studies

Beyond the two principal series, The Pixel Cake maintains an ongoing practice of portrait and figure photography — work that sits in closer dialogue with traditional photographic portraiture while still drawing on the studio's digital sensibility. Selected portrait works are available for acquisition alongside the icon and atmospheric series.

The portrait series includes both studio work — controlled lighting, psychological depth — and environmental portraits, where the relationship between subject and setting becomes part of the image's meaning. Browse the complete portrait collection to see this strand of the studio's work.

Limited Editions and Print Quality

Every work from The Pixel Cake is produced as a limited-edition fine art print. Editions are deliberately small — typically between 10 and 25 prints per work — to preserve the collectibility of each piece. This approach reflects the studio's conviction that fine art photographs should circulate as objects of genuine value, not as unlimited reproductions.

Print quality is paramount. The studio uses museum-grade archival pigment inks on acid-free cotton rag paper, producing prints with a projected lifespan of over 100 years under normal display conditions. For metallic and acrylic substrates — ideal for the atmospheric and icon series, where luminosity and depth are important — the studio works with specialist fine-art printers with decades of experience in photographic output.

Larger format installations — works in excess of 40 inches — are also available, and the studio has supplied large-scale prints for corporate art programs, hotel lobbies, and institutional collections. Custom framing is available in museum-standard aluminum frames with UV-protective glazing. The Museum of Modern Art and other major institutions provide reference standards for archival print quality that inform the studio's approach.

Acquiring Works

All works are available as limited-edition fine art prints. Editions are small — typically 10 to 25 prints per work — to maintain collectibility. Each print is signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
